Born in Houston, Texas, Mark Andrew Allen is an graphic designer with a specialization in hand lettering. Mark Andrew Allen's sophisticated jabs at consumer culture blend playful sarcasm with vibrant text messages woven into polychromatic backdrops.

Allen's work is a culmination of many years of painting, thinking and experiencing. His urban pop expressionist work is created by sifting through material to find just the right imagery that connects to establish a particular narrative. The art mixes his background of typography, mixed media collage, abstract expressionism and cubism.

His art is in many notable collections and is represented in galleries world-wide including in New York, Los Angeles, Rome, London, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Lisbon, Boston, Greenwich, Dallas, Austin, New Jersey, Charleston, Atlanta, Carmel, Palm Springs, Santa Barbara, Baja, Mexico, and Chelsea Canada. Exhibited in the following museums; Dallas Museum of Art, Dallas, TX, The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Museum - Cleveland, OH, Experience Music Project - Seattle, WA, Memphis Brooks Museum of Art, Memphis, TN, and Acadian Museum - Lafayette, LA. He has had two art installations in the Rockefeller Center windows in New York and his art work has been included in several television shows and feature films including the Disney Channel's Emmy winning TV show "Wizards of Waverly Place," staring Selena Gomez.
